The rooms
Simple, light-filled, and easy to feel at home in. Each of our six rooms is slightly different, but all are spacious with just enough character to feel like you’ve landed somewhere real.
Equipped with a minimum of two single beds that can be set up as a double or kept separate, every room has a private ensuite bathroom.
Room #1 and Room #2 are at the back of the house, with double windows overlooking a quiet little street. These are our most tranquil spaces. Room #2 even has its own side door to a cobbled village lane.
The rooms on the frontside have French balconies that catch the morning light or the evening breeze. Room #5, our family room with a bunk bed, has two balconies. Perfect for a bit of extra breathing space.
Room #3 is our biggest room, having one window on the side and a balcony to the front of the street. It includes a spacious bathroom with a bidet.

Things to do in Bordeira
At Casa Fidal, you can book a yoga session, rent an electric fatbike, hike with a guide, or just wander freely and follow the coast.
Bordeira beach is just 3 kilometres away. Even more, within the range of a half-hour drive, there are 30 beaches to explore!
About Us
What makes Casa Fidal feel different?
We’re not a polished hotel or a trendy surf lodge. Casa Fidal is a lived-in, loved space. Simple, soulful, and full of small details that help you feel at ease.
We (Pamela & Alex) live upstairs with our two teenage daughters. Downstairs is where we meet: over coffee, breakfast…and before you know it, you’re swapping stories at the table like old friends. There’s yoga in the studio, fatbikes by the door, and the occasional barefoot wander to the local café.
It’s calm, yes, but you’ll hear the hum of village life, the breeze through open windows, and maybe a typical loud portuguese conversation drifting up from the street.
We welcome you the way we’d welcome friends. Not with fuss, but with ease. You get a key, a bed, a good coffee in the morning—and space to just be.
Our dog and two cats are part of the house—you might spot them on the stairs, by the door, or stretched out in a sunny corner. They don’t enter the guest rooms, but they do roam freely on the ground and upper floors.

Casa Fidal can be rented out completely outside of the summer season. Ideal for small retreats, workshops, or creative escapes.

- Optional breakfast and catering support
- On-site hosting

Casa Fidal sits in Bordeira, a small village with deep roots and a slower pace, but you’re not off the map. The café’s around the corner, the mini supermarket is a-five-minute drive away, and the beach is just down the road.
This stretch of the west coast is wilder than the south: cliffs, dunes, big skies, and waves that wake you up. You can walk for hours or hop on a fatbike and be at the shoreline in ten minutes.
The land here has been lived on for thousands of years—but it still feels fresh, untamed, and open. Perfect for slowing down, without stopping completely.
